Biography

Staff Sergeant Amanda Wagner was born in Redondo Beach, CA, and joined the Army in 2016 as a french horn player. Staff Sgt. Wagner served in the 1st Infantry Division Band at Fort Riley, Kansas, the 323rd Army Band "Fort Sam's Own" at JBSA Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX, and the 1st Cavalry Division Band at Fort Hood, TX. Before joining The U.S. Army Field Band as a Tour Coordinator in 2024, Staff Sgt. Wagner served as the Operations Sergeant for the 1st Cavalry Division Band. Prior to enlistment, Staff Sgt. Wagner earned a Bachelor of Music degree from California State University, Fullerton.

The Operations Group’s behind-the-scenes work is essential to the band’s mission, ensuring every performance is a success.
